Cairngorms are absolutely amazing - it's hard to believe I'm on the same island as Stockwell. Working my way along the off road Sustrans route 7, which runs alongside the A9, made for a really enjoyable/rainy day. Given the lack of cars I pumped out some tunes for the first time and got really fired up for the slow climb up to 325 meters. The 30 mile decent into Avimore made my week. Finn - you'll be disappointed to hear I didn't see any wildcats, but there were plenty of cows and lambs.
Just had my first fish supper which I have on good authority is one of the national dishes. They also sold deep fried pizza, though I wasn't feeling that brave.
Apprentice and sleep are the order of the evening. Need to rest up for the last three days.
